OYSTERS
Every shell is a landscape.
李雲烽 Harry Lee
Kyoto-based artist Harry Lee creates contemporary ceramic artifacts and immersive environments inspired by the ritual and philosophy of the tea ceremony.
néo-artéfacts
Ceramic relics that explore the intersection of material, place, and spirit. Each work is handcrafted by Harry Lee and ceremonially blessed with holy water gathered from temples and sacred landscapes worldwide. Through this ritual process, the objects become vessels—artifacts that channel the memory, energy, and presence of the landscapes from which they emerge.
IMMERSIONS
Designing landscapes as theater, Harry Lee curates immersive experiences with rituals, artifacts, and site specific interventions.

Rite for Viewing
Kyotographie 2026 — Special Event Program
Kurochiku Makura Building, KYOTOGRAPHIE Main Venue
In tea and incense rituals, viewing is never passive.
Guests bow, receive, smell, taste, observe, and contemplate the utensils. Their attention is already part of the ceremony.
The camera, on the other hand , is usually treated as an invisible presence or afterthought device from the modern society: something that records from the edge, without disturbing the ritual. But what happens when the act of viewing is extended — when the camera, the hand that holds it, and the projected image become part of the ceremony itself?
Rite for Viewing is a tea and incense-based performance by Thomas / Pepito (トマ・ペピト) and Harry Lee (李雲烽), bringing together tea, vessels, incense, live video, gesture, light, and shared attention.
